When opening a binder with a Quadri Model created with an earlier version of Novapoint (e.g. NP19.00 or NP19.10), a message box will appear with the following message: “Model <modelname> needs upgrading because it's made with an earlier version of Novapoint - Upgrade Model? - Yes/No”.

Ortophoto and WMS connections are improved. These connections to external data sources have now their own task types found from Insert > External Data source.
How to use the ortophoto task is described here: http://resourcecenter.novapoint.com/doku.php?id=en:np:base:reference:orthophoto:start
How to use the WMS task is described here: http://resourcecenter.novapoint.com/doku.php?id=en:np:base:reference:wms:start
Possibility to search for objects in the model by its ID.
Write in the object’s ID number in the window that appears and at will be selected with its properties showed in Property. (To see the ID in property window, go to setting in property window and select Show internal properties)
New right mouse click functionality when selecting object(s). Zooms to selected object(s) in active window
On Quadri model there is now a link to the Feature Type Catalogue on a webpage:
On the webpage you can browse for information about the features and its properties.
New setting for number of coordinates:
Added direct link to the geometric properties.
Generic Properties are differently showed and to add a new generic property, right mouse click:
New right mouse click functions

When you open a road in 19.20 the road model is converted to a new format. A 19.20 road model can be saved as “Save As” an *.ind file that can be opened in 19.10 however input for the new functions or the extended tables will be lost, particularly Landscaping and Deep blasting.
In 19.20 a road model can also be saved as a set of files (*.gen) that can be used in other programs or imported to another 19 model.
I 19.20 the following default rules apply: The following surfaces will give the following textures:
19.20 includes a new function to define terrain forming along a road. This replaces the existing Landscaping function.
It is under Data – Cut and Fill Elements:
It uses the same user interface as Advanced Road Pavement… and offers increased functionality.
The Start surface describes where the landscaping should start and whether it should stop the FIRST or LAST time the description meets the terrain surface.
Surface 1, 2, 3.. defines the width and slope for each additional surface.
The number of surfaces available has been increased to 15 including the End Surface.
It is also possible to define a surface from an alignment and thus landscaping can be connected to another road as shown below.
An example of how to use the function is shown below:
19.20 includes a new function to define Deep blasting. This is placed as alayer under the road bed in the Advanced Road Pavement dialogue.
Input is similar to both Landscaping and Advanced Road Pavement.
An example of how to use the function is shown below:
The same values are used for the left and right side.
Ditch depth , Guard rail, Edge reinforcement, Rehabilation, Search Width, Quantity Boundaries Left and Right.
Information about the Ribbon can be found here: Ribbons
In the new ribbon:
This function draws all the Longitudional Profiles in one operation giving the user the option to edit the datum for each frame.
Select the Analyze datum method and select Next.
In the next dialogue you can adjust the datum for each frame:
All the Longitudinal Frames are drawn and Model Views created. Model Views are saved automatically in the same way as when you draw the Plan Frames from the draw plan frame icon:
The Plan and profile can then be joined in one drawing by selecting the Plan and Profile Generator in an AutoCAD Layout.
The 3D Junction wizard has been improved and can be used in most simple junction situations. Note it is important that all Carriageway and Shoulder surfaces are continuous through the area for the intersection. This is particularly important when there is widening, continue the widening surface with a small width through the intersection.
