Novapoint 20.0x.FP3a

If you use Quadri, this version can only be used with Quadri 2.0 or newer.

Models created with earlier versions of Novapoint, will be converted on opening in NP20.00 and can ONLY be used in NP20.00, and it will not be possible to open it with earlier versions of Novapoint after conversion.

Using Novapoint 20.05 with floating license (FLEXlm license manager) will require license manager 11.14 of FLEXlm. Make sure the license manager support this before you try to use Novapoint 20.05. If your network uses the IPv6 protocol (as used in Microsoft Direct Access), you should set the FNP_IP_PRIORITY=6 environment variable on the client computer to give priority to IPv6, which can improve performance and avoid unwanted IPv4 address resolution.

Novapoint 20.00 and Novapoint 20.05 will both require license version 20.00.

Login using named user (Vianova ID) will work for both Novapoint 20.00 and Novapoint 20.05.

There are some issues using the USB hardware lock (FLEXid). Please contact us if you want to use Novapoint 20.05 with the USB lock.

Updates in Novapoint Base

FIXED: This update includes major bug fixes

Saving of workset

FIXED: In some cases, the saving of a workset goes wrong, and it is not possible to open again, this is now fixed.

Import Landxml (Infra Model)

Fixed: Issue where a TIN surface from a LandXML file was not imported correctly. Only one part of the surface was imported if the TIN consisted out of several internal segments, and a user-defined conversion rule was used.

Updates in Novapoint Road

Alignment Design

CORRECTED/IMPROVED: Export to LandXML sat the start chainage for vertical geometry to chainage 0 and could be confusing for users. It could also potentially create problems for other softwares reading the file.

Draw Horizontal Alignment

CORRECTED: In some situations where one wanted to draw multiple sets of chainages along an alignment, they were not included.

Updates in Novapoint Tunnel

The values for straight walls given for the perimeter, are now stored the first time you save the values.

To be able to store these new values for an existing project, you must first update the feature catalogue version, that is FC 1926 (1.18). For a server project, you must do this upgrade of the FC on the server with Quadri Model Manager. For a local project, you must first make a new project with the new FC and then do a QG4 import of the existing project into the new project.
